Happy New Year!
So, 2012. Lets hope the world doesn't end, eh? I'll be damned if the apocalypse comes before I get to see New York.
Christmas this year was hard fricking work. Cooking for fourteen in the heat of the tropics is not conducive to energetic celebrating. But I had a good sous chef team and in the end it was an awesome time.
The menu that had me sweating like a Christmas eve turkey was:
Cold Cucumber and mint soup, followed by a buffet of:
Stuffed mullet (dill, coriander, lime)
Baked peppers stuffed with Moroccan couscous
Yellow rice
Prawn curry
Potato curry
Salad
and whiskey pudding or Christmas cake for dessert.
What did I get you ask? Well, a few thing, the most interesting of which is a Chinese backscratcher.
No, no I don't have a clue either.
