Personally, I'm no stranger to fatigue. This time of year especially, it's cold and all anyone really wants to do is curl up and wait for the sun to shine. (As an aside, there's something inherently good and fun about snow, which completely destroys any work ethic or melancholy for the brief time it falls. Am still smiling.)
As I so eloquently said the other day, I'm a lazy fuck in winter.
What drives me absolutely up the wall though, is people who can't be bothered to get off their derrieres and inform themselves.
Let me make this quite clear. Anyone with an internet connection has no excuse for being ignorant about political, social or humanitarian issues. In the recent past I've had to explain the difference between Nick Griffin and Nick Clegg, and point out to someone that no, Darfur is neither a country, nor a city in Ethiopia where 'they had a war a while back.'
Is this a generational thing? Is it just that people of my age are too busy downloading internet porn to log on to the BBC website, and I'm late to the party?
Ok people, pompous, judgemental rant is over. Please excuse me, I'm having a crummy evening, due to cold weather, last night's insomnia, bitchy teachers and the fact that I chose to wear the nice-looking but uncomfortable underwear despite little to no chance of anyone seeing it at school.
P.S. Few people who are uninterested/uninformed about such things read here, so I'm possibly preaching to the choir here.
Oh well.
